Catwalk-for-Cause beneficiaries; Cox Charities

Scottsdale, Arizona

Over the past 39 years, the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction has grown to eight days, including six days of auction, approximately 1000 vehicles, nightlife, fashion shows, drifting, ride ‘n drives, and demonstrations. For the past five years, Barrett-Jackson drew over 200,000 spectators at WestWorld, where the event has been held since 1989

Many celebrities have attended the event, including Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Jay Leno, Alice Cooper, baseball players Reggie Jackson and Randy Johnson, Carroll Shelby, Bill Goldberg, Tony Stewart, and many more.

Charitable Involvement

Charity fundraising has been part of Barrett-Jackson since its foundation. Since 2006, Barrett-Jackson has helped raise more than $20 million for non-profit organizations.

This year the recipient of the Barrett-Jackson 40th Anniversary Fashion Event, “Catwalk for a Cause”, charity proceeds will be awarded to Cox Charities.

Cox Charities was created in 1996 to support our community beyond the company’s corporate contributions. Acting as a fundraising and grant-awarding arm, Cox Charities is dedicated to supporting non-profit organizations throughout Arizona that focus primarily on youth development.

Grant recipients from Cox Charities for 2010 include; Boys and Girls Clubs ( Greater Phoenix, Scottsdale and East Valley), Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Gabriel’s Angels, Phoenix Zoo, Arizona Animal Welfare League, Arizona Science Center, Banner Health Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters,  Best Buddies, Child Crisis Center, Desert Botanical Gardens, Desert Foothills Theatre, Free Arts of Arizona, Homeward Bound and many others.
